Directions From London take the M3 West to the Winchester bypass. Turn left onto the M27 towards Bournemouth and the West. This road becomes the A31, which in turn becomes the A35 as you follow it all the way to Dorchester. From Dorchester, take the A354 main road south towards Weymouth. After two or three miles the road takes you over the crest of a hill from where you will see Weymouth and the sea beyond. Follow the road down, it becomes built up, and after about another mile you will come to some major traffic lights with Littlemoor road off to your left. Continue straight on and the third turning on your left, is Lorton Lane. Drive straight up the lane, over a railway bridge and Lorton House is through a white gate on your left. Trains leave Waterloo station in London hourly, stopping at Upwey about two and three quarter hours later. It is about a 7 minute walk to the house from Upwey station. Nearest airports are Bournemouth, Southampton, Exeter and Bristol. |
